Enhanced Error Handling for Document Generation in the Production Center

  • To enhance the document generation process within the Document Production Center, a new update has been implemented to effectively manage HTTP errors from upstream resources, particularly addressing the issue of HTML responses from Cloudflare (HTTP 502 or 520 errors) instead of JSON. This update introduces error sanitization techniques and step function logic enhancements to parse and simplify error messages, ensuring they are clear and do not trigger Cloudflare's Web Application Firewall (WAF) blocks. This refinement results in more concise and informative error messages, improving troubleshooting and maintaining uninterrupted workflow generation. The successful deployment in the development environment has demonstrated the efficacy of this approach, offering a significant improvement in error handling and user experience.

Studio

Document Explorer Date Picker Configuration Upgrade

  • To accommodate the introduction of an accessibility-enhanced date picker in Document Explorer and address a breaking change in the dateFilter and dateSearch configurations, an upgrade script has been developed. Hosted in the ksysUDM repository, this script automates the migration of these configurations to a new format for Studio users, ensuring a smooth and error-free upgrade process. The script is designed to be idempotent, preventing alterations to other configuration parts and ensuring consistent output across multiple executions. Comprehensive unit testing and updated documentation support the script's deployment, which has been successfully validated in a development environment. This upgrade facilitates seamless transitions to improved accessibility features in Document Explorer, highlighting our ongoing commitment to usability and compliance enhancements.

Bug Fixes

DXM

DXM Audit Log Navigation Issue

  • Users across all instances are encountering a problem with the "Audit Logs" feature, specifically an inability to navigate to log details from the previous week using the filter function. This issue undermines the effectiveness of reviewing and auditing system activities, which is crucial for maintaining transparency, compliance, and security standards. The resolution of this bug is expected to restore seamless navigation and access to historical audit log details, ensuring users can efficiently monitor and review past activities within the system.
