Bug Fixes

Kurtosys App

  • Text Label Overflow in Date Input Fields
    • We have successfully resolved a UI issue causing text label overflow in date input fields within the Fund Manager and Data sections of our platform, likely triggered by recent accessibility updates. This fix involved replacing the previous MUI text field with a reusable Calendar picker, aligning with Kapp themes for consistency and enhanced usability. Comprehensive testing confirmed the improved functionality of the date picker, including non-editable fields in view mode, effective keyboard navigation, and consistent behaviour across multiple browsers. Users can now enjoy a clearer and more user-friendly date selection process.

Investment Reporting

Document Production Center

  • Incorrect Data Display in Contributors Detractors Summary Report
    • We resolved an issue in the Kurtosys application where a "Contributors Detractors Summary" report incorrectly displayed data for August 2023 instead of May 2024 due to the use of hardcoded inputs in a report template. By adjusting the inputs and re-embedding the tables in the template before re-uploading to Kapp, we corrected the data display. Comprehensive testing confirmed the accuracy of local table data and the functionality of workflows using both legacy and new document templates. This fix ensures that the report now accurately reflects the specified 'as at' dates, improving the reliability of data representation in the report.

Studio for InDesign (SFI)

  • Export Function Error in SFI
    • We have resolved a bug in the SFI that caused errors when exporting an InDesign document as a PNG file from the main composite structure, while exports in JSON and SVG formats were unaffected. The issue, which involved a configuration conflict during the import of the exported PNG, has been fixed to ensure smooth export and re-import of PNG files without errors. Comprehensive testing confirmed that the modification effectively prevents the error across various export scenarios, including different composite structures. Users are now encouraged to use the updated functionality, and support is available for any further issues encountered with exports in SFI.
  • Resolution of "Login Loop" in SFI Extension for InDesign
    • We have successfully resolved the "Login Loop" issue in the SFI extension for InDesign, where users were redirected back to the environment selection screen instead of moving to the Two-Factor Authentication screen after logging in. This fix involved modifying the login flow to store region selector data externally, preventing caching conflicts that led to the loop. Extensive testing confirmed the elimination of the issue across various login, logout, and session timeout scenarios, without altering the user interface or experience. Users are encouraged to update to the latest version of the extension for improved stability and continued ease of use.
